In Digital Agency, the first Digital Extraordinary Administrative Advisory Committee Working Group was held today, Thursday, February 10, 2022. This Working Group is responsible for discussing and coordinating with related law regarding ministries and agencies to be reviewed from the viewpoint of conformity to the digital principles set forth in the Digital Consultation.
At today's working group meeting, the following three points were confirmed and decided.
Among the regulation that fall under the following seven items, regulation with the same purpose and purpose will be categorized, and then it will be checked and reviewed according to the degree of use of digital technology.
・ Document 4: Proposed Policies for Inspection and Review of Compliance with the Digital Principles (PDF / 701 kb)At the 2nd and 3rd meetings of the Working Group, it was decided to hold hearings with several companies that provide remote monitoring cameras, regulation, robots, AI, and various online services as advanced technologies that can replace drones, which requires the intervention of paper and people, as well as related ministries and agencies that have conducted a preliminary review of regulation.

At the second Digital Extraordinary Administrative Advisory Committee held on December 22, 2021, we received instructions from the Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio to check the conformity of more than 40000 law and notices and more than 20000 administrative procedures with digital principles and to specify measures to utilize digital technology. Since then, the Secretariat has identified about 10,000 law (laws, government ordinances, and ministerial ordinances) and shared with each ministry and agency a list of about 5,000 provision subject to inspection and review that fall under the following seven items.

(1) visual inspection regulation, (2) on-site inspection regulation, (3) regular inspection regulation, (4) Resident Dedicated regulation, (5) In-person Courses regulation for Qualifications, etc., (6) regulation for Posting of Certificates of Qualifications, etc., (7) regulation for Public Inspection of Public Information
In the next few weeks, we will confirm the review policies of each provision and regulation under our jurisdiction for the approximately 5,000 ministries and agencies. After that, we will accelerate the inspection and review work by preferentially discussing the regulation that falls under the following.
