1. Outline of the Exchange of Opinions

(1) Opening

Minister Makishima welcomed Prime Minister Abe's visit to Digital Agency. He stated that he is aware that digitalization is a digital advanced country that ranks high in various international evaluations of digitalization, and that there is much to be learned from the Singaporean experience in promoting Japanese Digital Agency. Scope of cooperation

We will cooperate in the following areas.

  • Sharing their respective experiences in the development of digital government, such as AI, cloud service, cybersecurity, digital identity, inclusive (leaving no one behind) design, trusted and free data flow (DFFT), and Web3

  • Capacity building through skills sharing, co-hosting training courses, action plans and workshops

  • Promotion of cooperation by holding meetings between the executives of the two parties and jointly publishing a report on digital government between Japan and Singapore

  • Support for holding events related to respective digital governments
