(End) law API Prototype Release testing (Part 1)
As part of the upgrading of the law API , which provides data on laws, government and ministerial ordinances, we development a prototype of the functional extension of the law API (law API prototype).
Regarding the development of the law API prototype, we held a law API prototype testing from October 24, 2023 (Tue) to November 30, 2023 (Thu) to solicit opinions from people who use law data and promote the creation of new services. During the period under review, we released the environmental, specific specifications, and sample code of the law API prototype.
Through this initiative, we have received valuable opinions on the usability and needs of the law API prototype. We will use the opinions as a reference for improvement, and will continue to consider expanding the law API functions.

Law API Prototype Overview
Due to the end of the testing period, the prototype environment, specific specifications, and sample code have been released. The following is for reference information.
In this prototype, the API specification is created with the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and can be operated on the Swagger UI.
By specifying a point in time, you can search and obtain past articles.
In addition to the XML format conforming to the law standard XML schema, the law text data is also provided in the JSON format as an experimental.
However, the JSON format spec is intended to be preliminary and translatable to and from XML conforming to the law Standard XML Schema.
As of April 1, 2017, and as of August 2, 2023, amendments to the Act, Cabinet Orders, Ministerial Ordinances, and Regulations have been reflected in each law. Because the Act, Cabinet Orders, Ministerial Ordinances, and Regulations are for testing, some law may not be included, and some attributes and items may not be included in the law standard XML schema.
Points to Note
This prototype is a temporary test provision, so please refrain from incorporating it into the actual system. Please note that in order to use it for actual service provision, it is necessary to use the current law API , which is officially provided, or the law API after upgrading, which is being considered in the future.

Therefore, please refrain from using it for services that are intended to be used permanently and posting the link on the website. In addition, Digital Agency will not be responsible for any disadvantages that may occur to the user in using it. - Maintenance
We may perform server maintenance on this server and may not be able to use it during the maintenance period. We will notify you on the Digital Agency website if we perform server maintenance that requires a long-term outage. In addition, please understand that the API specifications may change during the public testing period. - Service Interruptions
