Summary of proceedings
- Observer ministries and agencies introduced efforts for next-generation technologies such as Beyond5G, which is expected to be introduced in the 2030s.
- The secretariat of the Study Group presented matters to be examined concerning the future image of the national and local networks, and held a discussion on the ideal way of the future network.
- We discussed how the current functions and roles of LGWAN should be in the future.
- There was an opinion that it would be a reference for future local local government to show the current national efforts.
- Regarding the system developed by the Cabinet Office and each Ministry, there was an opinion that when requesting the use of the system by each local local government, the Digital Agency should exercise its control tower function and use the existing lines and terminals as much as possible so as not to burden the local local government.
- There was an opinion that it would be appropriate to discuss in order of what the resiliency of local government services should be and how the network can support it.
- There was a discussion about simple applications and networks.
- There were many opinions that the national government should show the basic direction and that the local local government should be able to freely select from multiple options according to the situation.
