Senior Vice-Minister for Digital ISHIKAWA inspected Miyakonojo City's DX initiatives.

On March 18, 2024, Senior Vice-Minister ISHIKAWA Akimasa visited Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki (Miyakonojo City Library, public office, Miyakonojo City, Fujisawa Kita Fire Station), where various DX initiatives are underway.
Miyakonojo City has one of the highest penetration rates of My Number Card in Japan, and is actively working on its utilization, such as the realization of "One-stop, no writing service", the commissioning of My Number Card application Issue services to the first post office in Japan, and demonstration experiments for the utilization of My Number Card in the emergency lifesaving field.

1. Miyakonojo City Library

The Miyakonojo City Library is loved as a comfortable place to relax. It has converted and restored shopping malls, created a place to meet books, and has become a base for resident autonomy with area Editorial Office and various studios.

2. public office, Miyakonojo City

In Miyakonojo City, Digital Agency has been making maximum use of the scheme to support local government window reform (advisor dispatch project, advisor training project, provision of service desk DX) launched in fiscal 2023, and is working on service desk DX that contributes to both the convenience of residents and the improvement of the working style of employees.

We checked the flow of "One-stop, no writing service" in response to a total of 176 procedures such as transfer in / out and Various Certificates application at one window.

(Office work is speeded up by placing input (2 lines) and examination (3 lines) in the office area close to the counter. The time required for moving has been reduced from about 50 minutes to about 15 minutes.)

At the My Number Card Special Venue, we provide one stop support for each procedure, connect online with the post office that outsources the Issue application office in My Number Card, and confirm the identity of the applicant in cooperation with postal employees.

3. Fujisawa Kita Fire Station

Last year, the Fujisawa Kita Fire Station conducted a My Number Card on efforts to obtain the consultation history of the injured person and the prescription history of medicine at the time of emergency transportation by using the demonstration experiments, and to connect it to appropriate first aid and early in-hospital treatment. We heard about the results and exchanged opinions.

Senior Vice-Minister ISHIKAWA Digital said, "I think there are difficulties in introducing DX, which are different from those in the Tokyo metropolitan area, but under the leadership of the mayor, the staff members are working on it and it seems to be introduced smoothly. In addition, I would like to deepen cooperation in the future in Miyakonojo City, which is a pioneer of Digital Agency, where local government staff members have been dispatched to in the past and are working together."
