Effective from January 1, 2023, the fee for providing Japanese Public Key Infrastructure (JPKI) E-Certificate Expiration Information will be free for three years for the time being *. As a result, by lowering the use cost and use hurdles for signed validation users (private business certified by the competent minister), the number of signed validation users is expected to increase, and it is expected that the number of My Number Card users will further expand.
* The OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) method, which inquires and provides one by one, will be free for three years for the time being. The CRL (Certificate Revocation List) method, which inquires and provides a list once a day, will be free permanently.

The fee for providing E-Certificate Revocation Information refers to the fee that the signing validation holder pays to the Certificate Authority (J-LIS) that provides the revocation information. Currently, 20 yen is collected per E-Certificate for signing and 2 yen is collected per E-Certificate for user certification.
