Digital Day
Since 2021, "Digital Day" has been established as an opportunity for society as a whole to regularly look back, experience, and review digital. The public and private sectors will work together to improve the momentum toward digitalization in society by implementing various initiatives using digital-related technologies and services.
Overview
Based on the discussions at the Working Group on digital reform Related Bills, Digital Day was established in 2021 as an opportunity for society as a whole to regularly reflect, experience, and review digital in order to realize a "human-friendly digitalization where no one is left behind."
In 2021, the first year of the foundation, the "2021 Digital Day" was held on October 10 (Sun) and 11 (Mon). In addition to the efforts of the "First Year of Digital" commemorating the establishment of Digital Agency, the public and private sectors worked together to create opportunities for "digital debuts" and to revitalize industries by supporting the digital use of private sector enterprises, including SMEs, and area.
Since 2022, "the first Sunday and Monday of October every year have been designated as Digital Day" and "October every year has been designated as Digital Month."
The Digital Day and Digital Month will continue after 2023. However, Digital Agency does not plan to hold online events, recruitment of supporting companies and organizations, good digital awards, etc. If companies and organizations make efforts according to the Digital Day and Digital Month, we would like them to actively implement them. Digital Agency will continue to promote efforts related to human-friendly digitalization in which no one will be left behind.

Minister for Digital Transformation and others presented awards to the efforts of individuals, companies, and organizations that are contributing to "a human-friendly digitalization where no one is left behind" or will contribute in the future.
