What is the Digital Promotion Committee?
Smartphone is advancing in various places in terms of social life, such as the fact that documents that had been applied for in paper form can now be submitted in digitalization, and the number of services that can be handled online 24 hours a day has increased.
However, in order to create an environment in which everyone can enjoy its convenience, it is necessary to provide detailed support, such as explanations of various procedures, to people who are unfamiliar with digital devices and services.
Therefore, we are playing a supporting role as a digital promotion committee in cooperation with projects and initiatives to teach how to use digital devices and services implemented by the national government, local governments, various organizations, etc.

In addition, since some people find it difficult to ask questions about how to use a My Number Card, we are increasing the number of contact points where people stop by at experience events when they come to commercial facilities. For example, we are using a method that does not burden people psychologically as much as possible, such as providing information about My Number Card and the convenience of digital devices when they come to a mobile phone shop.
We carefully explain not only that it is convenient but also that it can be used with peace of mind. For example, we explain that there is a telephone counter that can temporarily stop the function in the same way as a credit card in the event of loss, that the card has a photo of yourself so that you cannot impersonate someone with malicious intent, that the card has a mechanism that automatically deletes recorded information when you try to remove information from the IC chip, and that the card itself does not contain information with high privacy in the first place. We thus encourage customers to use the card with more confidence.
Since many people are worried about using new services, one of the roles of the Digital Promotion Committee is to support the procedures in My Number Card and to tell them that the risk of information leakage is low in the event of loss.
