Definitions of Data and Values
The various date used in the dashboard are collected in Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare with the cooperation of medical institutions, doctors, pharmacists and patients nationwide.
Contents
1. General
The dashboard was created based on the results of a special survey conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to verify the results of medical fee revisions (survey on the implementation of refill prescriptions).
2. Patient Awareness
It is calculated by totaling the answers of patient survey (mail survey) and patient survey (internet survey).
2.1 [Awareness] I know the refill prescription system.
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Knew the details of the system" or "2. Knew only the name" in response to the question "Did you know the refill prescription?"
2.2 [Intention] I want to use refill prescription if my symptoms are stable
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Would you like to use refill prescriptions if your symptoms are stable in the future?" or "2. Would you rather use refill prescriptions?"
2.3 [Opportunity] The physician has explained the refill prescription to the patient.
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Yes" to the question "Have you ever received an explanation from a doctor about refill prescriptions?"
2.4 [Actual] issue of refill prescription
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Yes" to the question, "Have you ever received a refill issue?"
3. Physician Awareness
It is calculated by totaling the answer of hospital and clinic investigation.
3.1 [Awareness] I know the refill prescription system.
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Know the details of the refill system" or "2. Know only the name of the system" in response to the question "Awareness of the refill system."
3.2 [Intent] Intend to issue refill prescription
Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Actively consider" or "2. Consider if the patient wishes" in response to the question "Future outlook on consideration of refill prescription issuance".
3.3 [Opportunity] The patient has requested a refill prescription
Percentage of patients who answered "1. Yes" to the question "Do patients wish refill prescriptions to be issued?"
3.4 [Actual] Have ever issued a refill prescription
In response to the question "Do you know of any doctors who have issued refill prescriptions in your hospital, or do you issue refill prescriptions yourself?", the percentage of respondents who answered "1. Do you know of any doctors who have issued refill prescriptions, or do you issue refill prescriptions yourself?"
4. Awareness of pharmacists
It is calculated by totaling the answer of the insurance pharmacy investigation.

4.2 chain pharmacies
The applicant answered "1. Yes" in response to the question "Is your pharmacy a chain pharmacy (a pharmacy where the same proprietor owns 20 or more stores)?"

Answers "2. No" to the question "Is your pharmacy a chain pharmacy (a pharmacy with 20 or more stores owned by the same proprietor)?"

Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Yes" to the question "Experience of receiving consultation on refill prescriptions from patients".

Percentage of respondents who answered "1. Have ever received refill prescriptions" in response to the question "Experience in receiving refill prescriptions".
