Under the Digital Principles, which are the common guidelines of the government, we are working to eliminate analog regulations in order to create a society that is easy to create new added value.
*In Digital Agency, the RegTech Consortium changed its name to the RegTech Community on October 22, 2024, with the aim of promoting technology-based revising analog regulations through the exchange of opinions and sharing of information among parties involved in reviewing regulations.

Follow-up Results of the "Road Map for revising analog regulations" and the "Policies for Review of Analog Regulations (Notices, Circulars, etc.)" Based on the Digital Principles
In June 2022, Digital Agency decided on the "Plan for Comprehensive Review of Regulations in Light of Digital Principles". During the two year intensive reform period from July 2022 (2022) to June 2024 (2024), which was one year earlier than the initial plan, revising analog regulations made follow-up efforts on the "Roadmap for Regulatory Reform in Light of Digital Principles" and the "Guidelines for Review of Analog Regulations (Notifications, Circulars, etc.) in Light of Digital Principles." - Interim report
The Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. estimates the economic effects of revising analog regulations based on digital principles based on a survey commissioned by Digital Agency, and publishes an interim report.
Technology Map related
Technology Map and Technology Catalog Initiatives
In Digital Agency, we will develop a technology map that organizes and visualizes the correspondence between regulations and technologies and a technology catalog that organizes product and service information that can be used in revising analog regulations so that ministries and agencies in charge of regulations can autonomously promote digital implementation and review of regulations based on technology trends. We will update it as necessary as technology progresses.

Efforts in Technology Verification Business
In order to create a revising analog regulations based on digital principles, Digital Agency cooperates with the government ministries and agencies in charge of regulations and local public entities, and conducts technical verification from the viewpoint of confirming security and effectiveness.

Promotion of Data Utilization in digitalisation and laws and ordinances
With regard to laws and ordinances, including new laws and ordinances, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is considering the establishment of a more efficient and autonomous confirmation process and system, as well as promoting initiatives related to data utilization in laws and ordinances.
