1. My Number
My Number is a 12-digit number assigned to all Japanese residents who have a certificate of residence. My Number is used for administrative procedures specified by laws and ordinances or ordinance, such as social security system, tax system, and disaster response. My Number makes it possible to identify individuals reliably and quickly. In addition, in administrative procedures, information coordination among administrative organs reduces the number of necessary documents to attach, facilitates administrative processing, and improves convenience for citizens. In addition, necessary administrative support can be provided quickly to those who need it.

2.1. Information Coordination
Information collaboration is the exchange of information necessary for administrative procedures between administrative organs using a dedicated network system (information provision network system).

2. 2. public money receiving account Registry System
This is a program for citizens to voluntarily register their savings accounts at financial institutions with the government (Digital Agency) as accounts for receiving benefits, etc.
The accounts that can be registered as a public money receiving account are a deposit account * 1 in the name of the person concerned and one account per person * 2. For eligible benefits, etc., see the Benefits, etc., public money receiving account that can be received using the .

- The deposit account that can be registered in public money receiving account is only the deposit account in your name.
For example, you cannot register a deposit account in your parent's name as a public money receiving account for your child. - * 2 One account per person
- Only one deposit account per person can be registered with public money receiving account.

2.3. Deposit Account Numbering System
The Number System of My Number to Bank Account (Bank Account Numbering System) is a system for submitting My Number to financial institutions.
By attaching a number to your bank account, you will be able to check the location of your bank account to which your My Number is attached at the counter of one financial institution at the time of inheritance or disaster.
*The Bank Account Numbering Program is different from the "public money receiving account Register Program." Under the "public money receiving account Register Program," citizens are required to register with the national government (Digital Agency) their existing bank accounts with financial institutions as one account per person for the purpose of receiving benefits.

3. Security measures at My Number System
With regard to My Number System security, in addition to institutional security measures (such as monitoring by identity verification and Personal Information Protection Commission), we are taking system-related security measures (such as decentralized management of personal data and a system that does not use the My Number itself for information sharing).

3.1. Institutional Safety Measures
- It prohibits the collection and storage of personal information including My Number, except for those stipulated by law.
- Personal Information Protection Commission, a third party organization, will monitor and supervise whether specific personal information including My Number is properly managed.
- If you violate the law, there will be heavy penalties.
- When providing the My Number, confirmation of the My Number and confirmation of identity are mandatory, so it is not possible to immediately carry out procedures using the My Number by impersonating the person.

3.2. System Safety Measures
- Personal information is not centrally managed. As in the past, pension information is managed by pension offices and local tax information is managed by cities, wards, towns and villages.
